Mozilla is the best solution to run Java applets under Linux. You need to download Mozilla from www.mozilla.org and the Java Plugin from java.sun.com.
I tested Communicator 4.5 for Linux and it works with Java 1.1 applets. The only problem is that it is extremely slow!
To use Sun's HotJava browser, you have to install a Java Runtime for Linux
first!
This configuration is working very well, but it is a extremely
tricky installation!
Get the
Blackdown Java Runtime
Get
HotJava!
